How To Be Less Stressed in the Morning - Pinecone Version

Earlier I was 'surfing the web' (yes, I am able work a computer otherwise I wouldn't be talking to you now!)  when I came across an article about how to be less stressed in the morning. http://www.fitsugar.com/How-Less-Stressed-Morning-23712630 I would reccomend going to read it before you read by (better) blog post! So today I am going to tell you my five tips on how to be less stressful in the morning.

1. Go to sleep when you feel like it. Don't be tempted to set yourself a bedtime. If you do (set yourself a bed time) you won't be able to go for a midnight hunt or sharpen your claws one last time when you feel like it.
2. Have plenty to drink before you go to bed. This means you will wake up in the night to go to the toilet, therefore annoying your owner and don't you just love the feeling of being up late!
3. Always hit the snooze button (in fact don't set an alarm!) This way you get extra sleeping time without being interrupted.
4. As soon as you do get out of bed demand breakfast. Its best to eat as soon as you get up as breakfast is the most important meal of the day (after lunch and dinner)
5. Be distracted. That way you have an interesting morning!

Give it a go and let me know what you think of my tips!

Hiding Spots

As a Cat I like to have my private time (sleep time). To make it more interesting I like to sleep in different places. Not only does it annoy mom but it also means new and comfy resting/hiding places for me. Here are my top 5:

1. Here I am hiding in a box with lots of bubble wrap which is fun to play and sleep on.

2. In this picture I am hiding among and on top of some glasses. Unfortunately Mom found me (hide and seek)

3. This one was not as fun as every time i moved it made a rustling sound!

4. Here I am hiding in a shopping bag. The only reason i was found was because of the sheep with its head poking out of the top

5. Last but not least is my favourite! I liked hiding here because I got to look out of the window but  it is painfully obvious that i am hiding there!

Where do your pets hide?
Leave a comment to tell me below! I love to read all of them!

How long it takes humans to get ready

Cats are so much more superior animals to humans. Aren't they? The other day Mom was getting ready to go out to some place nice. It took her hours to get ready. First there was deciding of what to wear. It was an endless change of clothes until she found the right dress and all the right accessories. Next there was the hair. Oh don't get me started on how long she spent combing and putting it up then taking it down and brushing again. Then theirs the smelly stuff called perfume. To be fair that didn't take that long. Weather as Cats find a nice place in the sun to nap all day. Then when we wake up we simply lick our self clean and wander off to our social groups. Just proving we are more efficient and clever animals. Next time you have to get ready for something just remember that.

To The Kitty Sitter People. . .

A little while ago Mom went on holiday leaving me with a Kitty sitter. Today I am going write a letter of recommendation for my kitty sitter. So without further ado, my letter:

To the Kitty Sitter People,
I am Pinecone Fowler and today I am writing to you to tell you about my kitty sitter. In my opinion she was OK however sometimes I had to yell a bit to get my food. To me food is very important so to have to go to a lot of trouble to get it is not good as I know you will agree. Another thing I am not so happy about is that when I was having my nap she would always wake me up. Rude! My kitty sitter was also not the best at hide and seek. She didn't really understand the concept and instead just didn't look properly at all. However I know this is a very hard game to master (it has taken me many plays) but I just thought you should know.
Overall she was a very OK Cat sitter but next time can we make sure I get some who is good at rubbing my belly.

It is very important that i tell the truth in these things so oh well if I was a bit harsh!

My To do List

Recently Mom went on holiday to Mexico and I was rudely not invited! Mom arranged for me to have a Kitty sitter. Now some of you other Kitties may be scared of a Kitty sitter but no need, they just come to your house look after you and then phone Mom on how you are. So today I am going to share with you my To do List . . .
1.       Meow and screech very loudly. This is to remind my Kitty sitter to feed me as sometimes she forgets
2.       Sharpen claws. On the logs of wood in Moms fire place, the floor or Moms head board
3.       Stare out of the Window. I am waiting for Mom to rush back home and shout “Pinecone I missed you” She will come, I know it.
4.       Hide in an awkward place. To worry my kitty sitter. I love her running around shouting. Don’t humans look funny when they panic? Cats and Kittens don’t panic they just slowly walk around looking for whatever they have lost and we get the same result a lot quicker.
5.       Howl a bit more. For fun
So you see I have a very packed schedule most days and it is very hard work! What is on your To do list?

Pinecone Lesson: How to get what you want

A lot of you other Kitties out there have been talking to me about how you are amazed that I always get what I want so today I am going to tell you some of my tips and tricks of how to get what you want.
1. Make a lot of noise ( I personally like to do this to get my food) I howl. Mom always panics when I do this so it gives me a sense of control. Making her think I am hungry means she can feed me right away. ;-) After this I eat a small bite and walk away a bit un-interested. This may backfire as the other day Mom scolded me because of the "Starving cats in Ethiopia!!!"
2. Make them think you are cute (this earns treats!) Stand up on your hind legs and hop around a bit. Mom always go's, "Pinecone you are adorable" and feeds me lots of treats
3. Annoy them from time to time. Not only does this mean a lot of fun for me but it reminds the human that you are a smart animal. Sleep in awkward places like in the middle of the stairs, on top of their laptop or on the washing they are trying to fold.
4. Sleep a lot. This way you are not available to do any jobs that mom wants you to do such as killing the mice that run in the house or listen to her on going problems. I recommend sleeping from 18-20 hours a day. No little than 18 this is un-acceptable.

Don't get me wrong, generally I am a very nice Kitty. It is OK if you made that mistake, I often make mistakes. In fact this morning I knocked over moms coffee. I might have done it on purpose. Just saying.
